League Format
- Teams will play hour-long games.
- Games will be organised by teams on a weekly basis at a mutually agreeable time.
- There will be a ‘suggested schedule’ available for teams to follow to arrange their matches.
- The team with the most games at the end of the hour is the winner.
- If the scored are tied then the result is a draw.
- Winners will get 4 points, a draw scored 2 points each, a loss is worth 1
point and a no-show results in 0 points. - Each team will play each other team once over the league period and
placings will be determined from the results. There will be promotion and
relegation between divisions. - There is no entry fee required, but teams will have to book the courts for their games.
- One can of balls will be provided to each team to play matches with.
- For Level 3, the top two teams in each group will go into a knockout draw to determine the eventual winner of this league.
Ranking Rules
- Players will earn points dependent on placing and division (see points table below).
- Ranking will be calculated on the average points accrued per league played (e.g. player 1 earned 100 points in the May league and 150 points in the June league. Their average points are 125 which will be used to place them).
- Rankings will be used to place teams in new leagues by combining each player’s average points.
- If there is a new unranked team, Padelwest will place them in the league deemed most appropriate by skill level.
