League Format

State League
  • Teams will play matches against opponents consisting of pro-sets between corresponding pairs based on playing order (eg. No.1 and No.2 from Team A will play No.1 and No.2 from Team B). Teams will play every order combination in their team against the corresponding combinations in their opponents team for a total of 6 pro-sets. The winners will be the team that win the most matches (pro-sets). Pro-sets will be first to 8 games.
  • The order of the pro-sets will be:
    Court 1: 1&3 vs 1&3
    Court 2: 2&4 vs 2&4
  • Court 1: 1&4 vs 1&4
    Court 2: 2&3 vs 2&3
  • Court 1: 1&2 vs 1&2
    Court 2: 3&4 vs 3&4
  • Captains will discuss with teammates and put all players into a Team Playing Order (TPO) and stick to that order for the whole season.
  • Teams can list a maximum of 6 players to play each round and players can sub in/out but teams must ensure the team plays to the TPO.
Players can’t sub in or out mid pro-set.
For example, if the number 1 subs out after they play two pro-sets and the number 5 subs in everyone shifts up one spot in the playing order for their next pro-set.
  • Teams will score 8 points for an overall win and 0 points for an overall loss. Each match won will contribute a further 2 points to the team tally. If a match is tied at 3-3, the team with the most games won wins.
  • Matches will be played on Sunday in two sessions, 1pm-3pm and 3pm-5pm.
  • The entry fee will be $25 per player per week. New balls are included for each round.
Reserve League
  • The reserve league matches will take place before the State League matches from 11.45am to 12.45pm on Sunday.
  • Each team will field one pair to represent them each week in the reserve league.
  • The matches will be for one hour with the team with the most games after the hour being the winner.
  • The reserve league will have its own separate ladder.
  • Teams will score 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. A no-show will score 0 points.
  • The entry fee will be $15 per week. New balls are included for each match.
  • Players who play in the reserve league matches are eligible to play in the State League matches on the same day.
